Tom Gonella

Tom has a strong management and financial background. After his undergraduate studies in Finance, Tom spent his first 5 years of his career with Ford Motor Company in its management training program. After Ford, much of his career was spent in investment banking/private equity and investment management.

Tom has been focused on the retirement industry since 2000. He is passionate about improving the retirement industry in the United States for the investor and as a result he has been a strong voice within the industry. He has been a featured guest on Fox Business News, Advisor Television, along with published articles in The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The New York Times, Forbes, and many industry publications.

Prior to joining PRISM as its VP and Financial Advisor, Tom was the President and CEO of a company in the financial services industry that eventually sold to PRISM. As an advisor to PRISM clients, Tom works on everything from financial planning, estate issues and planning, as well as investment selection and management.

Tom has always been passionate about educating individuals on personal finance and investments, particularly as they relate to important life events.

Education/Certificates/Training

Tom holds an MBA and a Master of Science degree in Finance from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Miami University (OH) with a minor in Statistics (Decision Sciences).

Personal

In his free time, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife Jane and their two boys. He is an avid cyclist, plays golf, tennis, and enjoys traveling.
