Lori Zahn

Lori Zahn is an organizational leadership consultant, certified executive coach working with senior leaders and their teams, and facilitator of custom group learning programs.

As an organizational consultant, Lori is regarded as a skilled and insightful thought partner who works collaboratively to design leadership solutions that will have the greatest business impact.

Lori has worked with organizations ranging from midmarket companies to large multinationals and across a range of industries including tech, financial, health care and large non-profits, to name a few. She has partnered with many midmarket companies to help them scale their senior leadership capabilities to support continued business growth and success.

As an executive coach, she is recognized for her ability to challenge while being supportive, and in the end, for her effectiveness in helping people stretch into new ways of leading. Lori has been engaged as an executive coach to work with more than 500 senior organizational leaders and is a coach to CEO’s, Founders, C-Level Leaders, and Senior Leaders and their Teams.

As a facilitator of custom group learning programs, she is known for creating innovative and highly impactful programs and for her expert facilitation where she creates a safe space for learning and stimulates new ways of thinking that help people collectively move forward.

Lori has created and taught innovative leadership and professional development programs at the University of Denver since 2008. She created the leadership program for their Institute for Leaders in Development (ILD) and the Focus Forward Program for career professionals; both of which are long running programs that she taught for a decade.

Prior to founding Perceptive Leaders in 2005, Lori was a corporate executive working inside large complex global organizations.

At Citigroup, she held a variety of senior leadership roles as a member of its senior leadership team with P&L responsibility reporting to the CEO of one of its large global subsidiaries. She worked globally across the sixty countries in which the business operated and led enterprise-wide strategic initiatives including acquisitions and divestitures.

At Andersen Worldwide, in its Business Consulting Group serving mid-market companies, Lori created and led its local CRM practice and conducted organizational assessments for clients engaged in M&A’s. With a strong emphasis on leading change, she worked side by side with senior leadership inside client organizations as they led their teams and organization through change.

Education/Certifications/Training

Lori has an MBA, and BS in Public Administration with a multi-disciplinary concentration in Adult Development, from the University of Arizona where she graduated with Honors. She has continued to further her academic education with post-graduate studies in business and leadership at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Lori received her professional coaching certification (PCC) from the Hudson Institute of Coaching, a premier provider of rigorous coach training for established business professionals in 2008. She is certified in a variety of assessment tools used for leadership and professional development including the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory, FIRO-B, Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument, Emergenetics, and Management Research Group’s suite of assessments, among others.

Personal

Lori lives in the Denver area with her husband. She loves the beauty of the backcountry where she has climbed what Coloradoans fondly call the “fourteeners” fifty-three peaks exceeding 14,000 feet in altitude. She is a foodie at heart who enjoys cooking for friends and family and is an artist by avocation creating across an ever changing artistic medium.
